About Jameson

The Village of Jameson is a rural community of about 133 people nestled in the green hills of north west Missouri in central Daviess County, just north of Gallatin (the County seat).  We are about 100 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri and about 100 miles south of Des Moines, Iowa. We have a new water system, administered by Davies County PWSD #2 Water District, our own Sewer District and a dedicated volunteer Fire Department. We have high speed internet access We have an award-winning K thru 12 school. North Daviess R-3 School has a small town atmosphere with dedicated, nurturing teachers and staff.  We have a very active Lions Club. Every year in August the Lions Club hosts the three day Jameson Picnic. The Jameson Picnic was established in 1892 and still draws huge crowds. People come "back for Picnic" every year from all over. We are blessed to have a Christian Church in the village with their services held in their landmark historic 1897 church.

Along with low property taxes, Jameson offers not only economic development opportunities but also the benefits of raising your family in a safe rural atmosphere.
